Dedicated to nothing but vocal funkyhouse music…FunkyLove celebrates exactly what it
says on the tin….full on vocal funkyhouse music! Identifying a huge gap in the market from
the LGBTQ+ events such as Speedqueen and Garlands Funylove was born to celebrate not
only the defining music of a generation but also create an all inclusive House music even
that has been missing on the LBTGQ+ scene
Mark – Can you provide info here of when/where it started and the growth in audience. I will
edit down to a couple of sentences. EG: FunkyLove started in 2015 in Leeds regularly
selling out Duke Studios and then the Wardrobe with a host of shows featuring some of the
most prolific House DJs and live Pa’s including Julie Mcknight, Freemasons, Stonebridge,
Mousse T, David Penn, Kathy Brown and many more global names alongside outstanding
visual production and entertainment creating an all different, all equal inclusive event.
FunkyLove has also hosted events in Manchester providing a funky house soundtrack

FunkyLove has grown with it’s own loyal following to a stand alone brand honouring

2025 see’s a landmark anniversary for FunkyLove: Ten years of creating dedicated spaces
which celebrate vocal classics and uplifting house music to an audience for all.
As we enter into the next decade we do it in true Funkylove style. UK Dance Powerhouse
and LGBTQIA+ Ally Soraya Vivian joins us as Brand Ambassador. One of FunkyLove’s first
ever live PA’s back in (2015?) together we come full circle to continue the FunkyLove journey
in full force.
