About Conleth

Conleth Kane is a multi award-winning independent singer/songwriter from Northern Ireland.

Named 'Entertainer of the Year' at the 2024 GNI Magazine Awards in Belfast and having headlined Pride events and solo shows throughout the UK and Europe, Conleth is recognised as a prominent figure within the LGBTQ+ community. His single ‘Proud’ has been described by Out News Global as “an anthem for our times,” earning acclaim for its message of living authentically, as noted by Diva Magazine.

In 2026, Conleth Kane will pay tribute to one of his musical influences, Erasure, with the release of his 7th Heaven-produced Erasure-esque EP in February 2026, marking the group’s 40th anniversary. Supported by Andy Bell, he follows in the tradition of Erasure’s homage to Abba with their hit album ABBA-esque. Kane reflects on their influence:

Growing up as a young gay boy in Northern Ireland, I was inspired by Erasure’s catchy melodies, flamboyant visuals, Andy Bell’s openness and overall creativity. From an early age, they shaped my musical aspirations, and it is an honour to reinterpret the songs that were so important to me.

Background

Conleth recorded and produced his self penned debut album, 'Proud - Live in London,' at a sold-out performance at The Crazy Coqs in London’s West End (October 2018), reaching number 2 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Charts in February 2019.

His self-penned debut EP 'Liberty' was released during the pandemic in August 2020 and reached number 7 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts. Once lockdowns ended, Conleth headlined 2 sold out solo shows at London's 'Above the Stag' Theatre in London to promote the EP.

In May 2022 he released his first Dance-Pop EP 'Just A Dream', the EP was promoted across several high-profile venues and festivals including Century Club Soho, Mighty Hoopla, Pride in London, The House of St. Barnabus, Zetter Town House, The Ned, Wembley Park Pride, Bradford Pride, Leeds Pride, and Malmö Pride in Sweden. The EP was produced by acclaimed producers 7th Heaven, known for their work with Girls Aloud, Cher, and Steps.

He collaborated again with 7th Heaven for a summer 2023 cover of All Saints' 'Pure Shores', which entered the Commercial Pop Club Charts at number 16. Notable performances included a live launch at The Two Brewers. Other promotional appearances included Pride in London 2023, Century Club, Lancaster Pride, and Morecambe Pride.

Conleth’s single 'City of the Lost Boys' (also produced by 7th Heaven) was released in 2024 and immediately received 5 stars from 'Gay London Life' saying the song was 'A love letter to our beloved London, with an Erasure-style synth sprinkling of Soho stardust'. The single was launched at London’s Royal Vauxhall Tavern. The track gained immediate support on Spotify's Release Radar Playlist and Ditto Music's Chartbreaker playlist.

Conleth has performed live sets featuring his original music on BBC Radio London, BBC Radio Ulster, and Northern Ireland’s leading station, Cool FM.
