About Ollie
Ollie King made his debut on our screens in BBC3’s groundbreaking dating show ‘I Kissed A Boy’. Ollie’s natural charm and openness paved the way to a relationship which ended up not only winning the show, but with Ollie winning hearts across the nation. A down to earth Brighton boy who’s ‘bread and butter’ comes from tarmacking the road, Ollie brought a refreshing and much lauded approach to the series.
A champion of the LGBTQ+ community past and present, Ollie has self-educated himself with a thorough knowledge of Gay History. For Ollie, the biggest honour of taking part in the show came from the messages he received afterwards, demonstrating the impact he unknowingly made on it. From the parents of a 14 year old boy who watched the show together with their son giving them all the confidence and ability to speak openly about their son’s sexuality, to the plumbers and electricians who confided in Ollie that they had watched in secret until it had given them the self confidence to come out to their co workers.
The messages of thanks and recognition are a true testament to Ollie and illustrates how far and wide his openness and vulnerability struck a chord across the country and how people from all walks of life from feminine, masculine, straight or gay find him so relatable.
It is these qualities that led to Ollie working with Corporate Brands such as Microsoft and Adobe, who have engaged Ollie to host Q+A sessions with their staff to help promote diversity and inclusion across the workspace. His relatable personality makes him a dream for content creation. Ollie has worked with brands including Krispy Kreme to promote the opening of their new shop in London’s Oxford Street, joined forces with Tinder to promote positive dating experiences, was welcomed aboard by Virgin Voyages to showcase their services, created a fun picnic in the park for Bailey’s and was chosen By MOET Chandon to promote their new Garden Spritz range.
Ollie continues to strive to use his platform to promote positivity.
2025 sees Ollie further his relationship as Ambassador for the Terence Higgins Trust Charity. He is currently launching their latest campaign ‘Can’t Pass It On’ to help dispel the stigma around HIV. Previously Ollie was proud to be asked to march with them for London Pride and has since hosted events to raise further funds including the Big Shave Off at Royal Vauxhall Tavern London, where he shaved the hair off his chest raising over £10k for the charity.
Pride 2025: Ollie will be hosting the main stage at both Cheltenham and Gloucester Pride, following on from last year’s success hosting the Main Stage at Milton Keynes Pride to an audience of 25,000. After warming up the crowd, he introduced acts and performed ‘Islands in the Stream’ to rapturous applause with the world’s No1 award winning Dolly Parton tribute Kelly O’Brien.
Ollie currently features on BBC’s iplayer You Tube Channel ‘Love at First Laugh’, an experiment to match singles based on their sense of humour. Since his debut in 2023 he has been featured in the Sunday Times Style Magazine, Revamp, Attitude, Pink News, Metro, Gay Times and was winner of the Pink News Award for Screen Moment of the Year, beating Netflix’s popular “Heartstopper”.
Ollie’s hobbies include his love for his own retro gin and cocktail van bar which he tours the UK Pride Festival’s with as a vendor. Ollie also has a passion for motorsport, attending his local stock car racing stadium, from being a spectator to participant in racing around the track.
